Lisa Mezzacappa and Darren Johnston have been influential players in the Bay Area scene for the last decade. Aram, like me, is a relative newcomer, but he has quickly become one of the most interesting and active reeds players in the scene. The four of us started to play together in 2008, and have rapidly developed a strong group identity. We all write music for the group, and every member contributes equally with input and ideas. In 2011, we’ll be releasing a CD on the Clean Feed label.
